St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church

Parishioners are invited to join the RCIA class on Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m. This week they will be discussing the Third Scrutiny and the Raising of Lazarus.

The Stations of the Cross will be prayed in the nave on Fridays, at 6:30 p.m., during Lent. The Knights of Columbus will host a Fish Fry each Friday at 7 p.m. following the Stations.

A crucifer and 2 candle bearers are needed during the Stations of the Cross. If you are available to serve, a sign-up sheet is posted on the liturgical ministries bulletin board.

Holy Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon on Wednesdays during Lent. Confessions will be heard after Holy Mass.

Parishioners are invited to keep vigil with the Lord, in the Garden of Repose, immediately following Holy Mass on Holy Thursday through 3:00 p.m. on Good Friday. A sign-up sheet is posted on the information table outside Fr. Adrian's office.

Holy Week and Easter Sunday sign-up sheets are posted in the narthex. Ministry volunteers are asked to sign up early so that we can plan accordingly.

The season of Lent is a time to move forward on your spiritual journey. An excellent way to do this is by joining the upcoming 33 Days to Morning Glory small group retreat, which culminates in consecration to Jesus through His mother, Mary. The retreat will begin with the first meeting on Tuesday evening, April 4th. Please see the bulletin for additional information. A sign-up sheet is located in the Narthex.

One of the greatest blessings brought about by Vatican II is the increasing realization that parents must be the primary evangelizers of their children. For our children to accept and be nourished by the teachings of the Church, we must be involved directly in teaching the faith to our children. We are currently in need of 25 new catechists for the 2017 -2108 school year. If you are interested please contact Rita Bek or Martha Vahanian as soon as possible so that training may be provided before August 1.

Parishioners are once again invited to purchase engraved brick(s) in honor of family and friends, living and/or deceased, for our perpetual Prayer Garden.

Please complete the attached order form and return it with your check made payable to St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Donations for bricks are tax-deductible. Proceeds will help pay the mortgage on Our Lady of Guadalupe Religious Education Center.
