St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church

Please Mark your calendars for the third annual Journey to Bethlehem Live Nativity & Christmas Market scheduled for December 8th and December 9th. As the crowds in attendance from Paulding and neighboring communities have increased, so must our presentation. Additional venues and an expanded Christmas Market is in the works. Many volunteers are needed. Planning and organizing is in full swing. A general planning meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 17th, at 6:30 p.m. in St. Gerard Hall. Everyone and all families are encouraged to participate in this event as it will surely become a yearly Christmas tradition. Volunteer and actor sign-ups will begin this weekend. A sign-up sheet is on display in the narthex.

Everyone is invited and welcome to join the Sunday morning Adult Faith Enrichment class. It is held in classroom B in the religious education building following the 8 a.m. Holy Mass. This month the class is learning about virtue through Edward Sri's Third Installment, Who Am I to Judge.

We are introducing a new faith based program for our middle school girls, 6th -8th grade, called “The Rose Circle - Girls Growing in Grace.” The group is overseen by the Women’s Altar Rosary Guild and will be meeting once a month on Wednesday evenings at 7:15 p.m. starting October 18th. The girls will participate with various ministries and have opportunities to build relationships, earn badges for a variety of projects and service, and through their accomplishments will earn rewards. Please contact Eveline Eppers for additional information.

Continuing the spirit of our parish consecration, all are encouraged to make your own individual consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Starting October 22nd, we will be offering a six-week consecration class entitled 33 Days to Morning Glory. Class will meet on Sunday nights from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. Please see the bulletin for further information and sign up on the poster located in the narthex.
